On Oct. 31, 2017, the associates and residents of Life Care Center of Stoneham, Massachusetts, threw a fun-filled Halloween party.
Around 30 associates, 60 residents and a few family members attended the annual event. Most of the associates dressed in their Halloween best and paraded around the facility for the residents to judge and vote for their favorite. Gina Barranco, occupational therapist assistant, was the grand-prize winner for her costume as Queen Bee.
“The Halloween party was fun,” said Stella Hines, resident. “The music was great, and the display of costumes was fun. Queen Bee was the best costume of all, and I am glad she won.”
Throughout the party, a DJ played upbeat music and classic Halloween songs, such as “Monster Mash,” while guests enjoyed making Halloween crafts and eating delicious food. A taco bar, cupcakes, candy and cider were provided.
“Times like these make me realize how lucky I am to work with such an amazing team,” said Taysel Concepcion, assisted living general manager. “Associates took their time and effort to execute the perfect costume just so they could wear it for a day and make all the residents laugh and smile.”
